Description
Herring Neck Newfoundland, about 20 minutes outside of Twillingate , this small and peaceful community sits along the Atlantic protected somewhat by Ship Island and Salt Harbour Island. It is thought to have been first inhabited by Europeans in the 1760s...the first census includes 546 Souls eking out a living by 1845. A real gem amongst the many small outports of the province of Newfoundland.
